In this overview you can see all categories within this VendorLink environment. The overview also shows which category the possible 'parent' (parent category) is, the referencecode, the status and more.
Categories are used in multiple VendorLink modules. You can link spend to it in the Spend module, but also suppliers in Vendors and contracts in Contracts. If you use Spend, this table is automatically filled and updated by the Spend data.

While adding or editing a category, you can set the following properties:
Setting | Explanation |
Parent | This is the name of the parent commodity of this commodity. |
Reference | The reference code of the commodity. |
Description | The name of the commodity. |
Status | The status of the commodity. Either active or inactive. |
Influenceable | Determines whether the Spend in this commodity is marked as influencable or non-influencable. |
Risk | The risk level of this commodity. A risk level can range from 0 to 100. These risk levels are visually presented in Vendors > Risk Analysis. |
Impact on results | The impact level of the commodity. An impact level can range from 0 to 100. These impact levels are visually presented in Vendors > Risk Analysis. |
Compliance per vendor | Determines if compliance is logged per vendor. |
