Sometimes the default data fields for contract just aren't enough. That is why you have the possibility to add additional fields to contracts yourself. These fields can be set completely according to your wishes.
You are able to create custom fields for general contract details, and for the 'Financial' tab under contract details.
Adding a custom field to contracts
- Navigate to Admin > Contracts settings > Settings > Contract custom fields.
- Under 'Contract custom fields' there is an overview that contains all existing custom fields in general contract details. To add a new custom field, click 'Add'.
- A pop-up window will appear. Enter at least all required fields. All these fields are explained in this article.
- Click 'Add'.
- Navigate to Contracts > Contracts > Select contract > Details, and check if your newly created field is visible for existing contracts. If you marked the field as required, it should also be visible in Contracts > Add contract.

Finally, it is very important to know that the moment you delete a custom field, the data in these fields will be irrevocably removed. Be careful when deleting these fields, always check that there are no valuable data in these fields.
